The SF Drinker’s Guide to Opening Day

Everything starts again on Monday at 1:35 p.m., versus the Diamondbacks.

Be there or be on a conference call that makes it feel like your soul is exiting your body. (You’ll also miss the complimentary opening-day calendar.)

But let’s live the lives we were born to live.

Here’s your plan for some pre- and post-game libations.

Spot: The Yard at Mission Rock with Anchor Brewing/Belcampo
Best bet: All the beers — followed perhaps by a burger from Belcampo. They open two hours before the first pitch (precisely: 11:35 a.m.) and close an hour after it.
Go: 3rd St & Terry A. Francois Blvd
Distance to ballpark:
 436 feet (two-minute walk)

Spot: Ted’s Sports Bar & Grill
Best bet: Anything Ted tells you you should eat (also, the chicken wings)
Go: 312 Harriet Street
Distance to ballpark: .9 miles (19-minute walk)

Spot: EPIC Steak
Best bet: Obviously you’re here for “Hunter Pence’s official wedding cocktail,” The Pensive: Mount Gay rum, pineapple and lime juice, simple syrup and a splash of soda.
Go: 369 Embarcadero
Distance to ballpark: .8 miles (16-minute walk)

Spot: Pete’s Tavern
Best bet: You probably already know what you’re getting. We’re going with the Bacon & Blue (burger, of course)
Go: 128 King Street
Distance to ballpark: 469 feet (two-minute walk)

Spot: Waterbar
Best bet: The TGI Lobster Roll, usually reserved for Fridays, will make a one-off Monday appearance.
Go: 399 Embarcadero
Distance to ballpark: .8 miles (15-minute walk)

Spot: ATwater Tavern
Best bet: Some Humboldt kumamotos, followed by the buttermilk fried chicken
Go: 295 Terry A. Francois Blvd
Distance to ballpark: .3 miles (seven-minute walk)
