Jeans are supposed to be easy. The no-brainer pant.

Then you try them on.

Too baggy, you’re Eminem, too tight and you’re Freddie Mercury. What you need is a pair that’s customized for you. 3×1 does exactly that, and they’re just now launching a line of bold spring colors and chinos.

From the blue-jean guru behind Paper Denim and Ernest Sewn, 3×1 is a 7,000-sq.-foot workshop and denim museum (workseum?) in SoHo that specializes in hand-stitched jeans made from the finest selvedge in the world.

To get yourself garbed, simply stop by (or call) the shop for an appointment, and 3×1’s elite pants squad will begin the comprehensive tailoring process — measuring everything from leg length to knee circumference, plus helping you choose from over 70 expertly-curated denims. Less than a week later, your perfect pair is ready.

3×1 keeps your specifics on file, so a replacement (you lost ’em) or additional (new color) pair can be crafted and delivered after just one call.

Tailored pairs start at $350, and 3×1 also peddles some very sleek accessories (ties, wallets, etc.), plus denim jackets and chambray shirts.

Just don’t go wearing it all at once, Toby Keith.
