When you’re a local, you’ve put in time.

You’ve got equity.

And in return, the bartender slides you a buyback. The bodega owner sets aside your bagel. The hostess finds you a table.

Extending that proverbial hookup when you’re traveling: Butter and Egg Road, providing insider access to restaurants across the U.S. and Canada, accepting members now.

That insider access usually comes in the form of a dinner party.

Like at Chicago’s Longman and Eagle, where they developed a nine-course wine and whiskey pairing menu hosted by the chef.

Or at Art Basel, where they created behind-the-scenes tours of the Scope Art Fair complete with cocktails from Wood Tavern.

Membership is $150 and while most B&ER events are only open to members, occasionally they open one up to give the uninitiated a glimpse.

Case in point: their upcoming Lower East Side jaunt, where you’ll “vendor hop” around the Essex Market getting preferential treatment from spots like Brooklyn Taco and Nordic Preserves before adjourning to cozy downtown den Leadbelly for oysters and cocktails.

Just email info@butterandeggroad.com and tell ‘em InsideHook sent ya.

And just like that, you’re a local.
