Whether you’re talking stores, novels or Judd Apatow movies, most things benefit from brevity.

Offering you a curiously strong selection of vintage sunglasses in a space the size of a walk-in closet: The Small Shop, which just opened downtown.

Quite simply, you won’t find this eyewear anywhere else.

They’ve got pairs of old Esquire sunnies. Yeah, the magazine. They once made shades that were only sold in Japan.

Also in there: specs made by Mercedes Benz with ornate detail work etched into the temple tips.

And Le Flex, a French line of wayfarer-esque frames with various glasses (mirror, tint, etc.) in a classic white and deep purple that’re sure to turn heads in this town.

The Small Shop also stocks silk pocket squares, navy blazers and a gingham short-sleeve button-up at insanely low pricepoints given the quality.

There’s no website, so you have to visit in the flesh: it’s around the corner from Guisados DTLA, and its stark, white interior is easy to miss (map).

Afterward, grab some pints and delicious sausages at the new BierBeisl Imbiss, also around the corner.

Definitely some nice finds here, fellas.

Go scope ‘em out.
