November’s Best

By The Editors

“Remember remember the fifth of November.” Turns out Guy Fawkes shouldn’t have stopped with just the fifth – the whole dang month was full of memorable craziness. Let’s take a look back with InsideHook NY’s Best of November.

Meat Was Major

November saw the openings of two steakhouse monsters. 125-year-old legend Delmonico’s opened a Midtown outpost to dish out icy lobster towers and sizzling steak Delmonico. And BLT honcho Laurent Tourondel launched the Arlington Club, a massive UES joint with seven dry-aged cuts and a full raw bar. The New York Burger Appreciation Society was just the icing on the … meat.

We Got Ready to Party

Outlandish event society Underground Eats launched their first-ever “Culinary Concierge” event planning service, accepting bookings for seasonal soirees and beyond at gonzo locations like the DUMBO carousel. Meanwhile, ready-to-cook gourmet ingredient delivery service Plated brought you no-brainer dinner party boxes that should take the strain off your holiday cooking.

And we Superstormed it

Sandy hit NYC hard, prompting us to bring you several options to donate and chip in with relief efforts across the city, along with wet-weather gear from boots to umbrellas and delivery options it turns out you don’t need to be without power to appreciate.

Oh, and there was some kind of election. But you probably already knew that.
