The benefits to owning a car in a cramped, expensive city are few. But at least one of its many detriments — parking, and attendant nightmares there caused by — just got a little easier.
A new partnership from on-demand valet parking app Luxe will offer Tesla owners in New York City and San Francisco a range of services, including a charge-up every you dock their ride.
The app, which is available for one-time use or via monthly subscription, allows drivers to arrange pick-ups and drop-offs with roving valets who then park, return and even wash their cars for them. The collab with Tesla will add “charge” to that list, along with a new Drive Home service for those who have had a few too many.
Although the combined offering is still in a pilot stage, there are rumblings that it is the precursor to Tesla preinstalling the Luxe app in the dashboards of its cars.
