Each week, our inbox runneth over with news of gear, apparel and tech releases from around the world. In this feature, we’ll parse through the best of them. Today: a 2,079-piece Lego block typewriter, a pizza oven recommended by the Associazione Verace Pizza Napoletana and a new CBD grooming line from DJ Khaled.

Hoka

HOKA One One Zinal Trail Running Shoe

We write about California footwear brand Hoka One One all the time, and for good reason — their lightweight, ultra-cushioned running shoes are a boon for anyone with beat up knees (or anyone with knees that aren’t beat up and who wants to keep them that way). Their latest, dubbed the Zinal, is a nimble trail runner that clocks in at an impressive 8.5 oz while still boasting key features like a molded EVA sockliner, a brawny “toe bumper” for protection on the trail, a gusseted tongue to keep debris out, and a Vibram Megagrip outsole with 4mm lugs for superior traction.

Patagonia

Patagonia Unearthed Kit

A minimalistic and collapsible wood stove is the highlight of this new collection, which also features a stainless steel pot, compressible sleeping bag and a 30L pack. The selling point here? Lightweight, durable, with no extra frills and standard Patagonia quality.

George Dickel

George Dickel Bourbon

An eight-year old, 90-proof bourbon — not the distillery’s usual Tennessee whisky with no “e” — with a 84% corn, 8% rye, 8% malted barley mashbill. Expect notes of vanilla, cherry, orange, toffee and almond … and at $33, this joins Dickel’s Bottled-in-Bond series as an affordable must-own for your home bar.

Best Buy

Atari VCS Black Walnut All-In Bundle

We’ve written so much about this retro-futuristic console — starting back in 2018 — that actually seeing this now available for general purchase comes as a surprise. Yes, you can play classic games, but you can also stream content and use the machine as a customizable PC.

Kizik

Kizik Cairo Slip-On Sneaker

Sometimes a product comes along that just makes life a little easier, you know? Such is the case with the Cairo sneaker from new footwear concern Kizik, which, thanks to a proprietary heel cage design, can be slipped onto your feet with nary a bend at the waist. We’ve tested these bad boys extensively and can attest that the ease is next-level, the fit is snug and supremely comfy (thanks to a four-way stretch knit upper and contoured high-density foam footbed) and the durability is on-point. Add the fact that the fabric is made from 100% recycled plastic bottles and the fact that they come in a vibey pastel colorway like this and you’ve got yourself a summer no-brainer.

Floyd

The Rug by Floyd

DTC furniture brand Floyd is expanding its home offerings. This week the Detroit-based brand launched The Rug — a durable, timeless design made of sustainably sourced New Zealand wool and Indian cotton. It’s designed to handle the high foot traffic areas of your home, wicking away moisture and dirt. The Rug comes in five different sizes and five classic colors.

Lego

Lego Typewriter

You’re not gonna write the next great American novel on this, but this 2,079-piece block set simulates the motion and style of a retro ‘50s typewriter. Available for VIP members now and the general public on July 1.

Noah

Noah x Adidas Originals

For their latest collaboration with Adidas, Noah sought to rework two of their favorite silhouettes, the Probound Low and the Rod Laver, in sustainable materials, the mesh in both shoes made from plastics found on beaches. The collection includes other Adidas classics like their track pants and jackets, rendered in Monet-esque paisley florals with the iconic stripes going down the sides in bold black.

Flint and Tinder Denim Trucker Jacket

First, Flint and Tinder made the Flannel-Lined Waxed Trucker Jacket, and it became a staple among our various fall style guides. Then, they made an unlined version — still tough, but for slightly milder days. Now, they’ve come to the logical end of the line: an archetypal Denim Trucker Jacket. This is Americana summed up in one piece, but with some nice detailing that makes it stand out from the hundreds of other options, notably the zig-zag stitching down the front, double chest pockets and branded buttons.

Huckberry

Flint and Tinder Indigo Waffle Trucker Jacket

If you’ve already got a trusty denim jacket (and the chances are good that you do), Flint and Tinder released another summer-appropriate version of their trucker, this one in a dapper indigo cotton waffle fabric. Huckberry’s in-house brand describes it as wearing more like a shirt jacket, but rest assured the trucker styling stays very much intact.

Ooni

Ooni Karu 16 Multi-Fuel Pizza Oven

Per the brand, Ooni’s new Karu 16 Multi-Fuel Pizza Oven is the one and the only oven to be “‘recommended for Domestic Use’ by the Associazione Verace Pizza Napoletana, the acclaimed international authority on true Neapolitan pizza.” Who are we to argue against the Associazione Verace Pizza Napoletana, but if their rec doesn’t sell you, the specs on this bad boy might. It’s got multiple fuel options for maximum pizza cooking versatility, you can use it with wood, charcoal or gas with Ooni’s Karu 16 Gas Burner, fits up to 16-inch pizzas and reaches 950°F (in just 15 minutes.)

Filson

Filson Smokey Bear Summer Drop

Hopefully you already own a couple pieces of Smokey Bear gear from the many collaborations Filson has done with the Forest Service mascot over the years. If you don’t, the latest drop is as good a chance as ever to fix that. There’s a particularly handsome blanket and beach towel ideal for any cabin excursions, a few caps and even a set of glasses for your summer ales, but we must say that the graphic tees have once again won us over. Catch us in Smokey T-shirts all summer long.

Bennett Winch

Bennett Winch Cargo Range Bags in Olive

The Brits at Bennett Winch do more than outfit James Bond. The latest addition to their collection of bags and carriers is a set of cargo bags in a timeless olive colorway. They describe these as “holdalls,” but you can think of them as high-end, overbuilt tote bags. Need to pack your car up for a long weekend, but want to do it in style? Then you need these waterproof 600-denier nylon carriers, available individually in 50L, 85L and 125L sizes, or as a set.

Hedley and Bennett

Hedley & Bennett x Vans

At first glance these might look like your standard pair of black or white high top Vans, but look at the soles and you’ll find bold, bright stripes of color, perfect for giving those walking behind you a nice surprise. More than a fun sneaker, the shoes, which are from Vans’ premium “Made for Makers” collection, feature slip resistant outsoles, 8oz Vansguard treated canvas and suede that repel dirt and liquids and custom H&B UltraCush sockliners, so you can endure any task comfortably.

Helinox

Helinox Tactical Collection

Is it possible for us to love Helinox’s industry-leading lightweight camping furniture more? As the new Tactical Collection showed us, very much yes. The brand has upped the durability with new fabrics (like 600-denier polyester), upped the style with new colors (like Military Olive) and even upped the adventure potential with new designs, like the work-from-anywhere Tactical Field Office

Blesswell

Blesswell by DJ Khaled

Grammy-winning artist DJ Khaled has made his foray into the CBD/grooming space with a line of premium body, beard, and face solutions. Blesswell, a play on the producer’s trademark motivational phrase, is an eco-friendly, clean collection of products for almost every inch of your bod. Highlights include a luxurious beard oil that promotes hair growth, a skin-purifying blue charcoal mask and a cooling shave cream.

Q Timex

Todd Snyder Q Timex Watch

For his latest quartz collaboration with Timex, menswear designer Todd Snyder decided to pair a full-metal aesthetic (stainless steel bracelet, case and rotating bezel) with a soft cream dial. Potentially an odd choice in theory, but in practice we think this is in Dark Knight territory, where the sequel is even better than the original.

Literie

Literie Smells of Summer Set

Capture the smells of summertime with Literie’s new summer set featuring two cheeky scents: one reminiscent of soft-serve ice cream and one that serves more as a reminder to houseguests that you’ve got lodging in the Hamptons (it, of course, smells like rosé.)
