This Oven Conquers Pizza’s Final Frontier: Camping

You can now bake a pizza on your table, in an ATM or even in space.

So it was only a matter of time before the world’s favorite food conquered its final frontier: your campsite.

Outdoorsmen have a long history of attempting the bonfire pizza. But thanks to Snow Peak’s Field Oven, those sad creations will give way to perfectly charred and melted Italian pies.

The steel oven is an accessory for their popular Pack & Carry Fireplace and Grill Bridge. As the names suggest, these are collapsible and lightweight enough to pack in with your sleeping bag, crusts and fresh mozzarella. When you set up camp, simply unfold the stainless steel fireplace, pop on the grill bridge, assemble the oven and call yourself Papa John. The kit also includes a ceramic pizza stone, and Snow Peak says the oven works just as well for bread or pie, so your camping culinary options are about to mushroom.

Once it’s released, you’ll be able to pick one up for $299.95.

Just don’t try to convince anyone you’re still “roughing it” once you’ve got one in hand.
