A popular beer brand is attempting to sell the bar scene to a new clientele: Non-drinkers.
According to the trade publication Beverage Daily, Scottish craft brewer BrewDog just opened its first alcohol-free bar in London, with plans to franchise the idea across the UK and Europe.
At first glance, The BrewDog AF Bar feels like a pub, with 15 taps, a menu of burgers and wings, and popular bar events like karaoke and bingo. Plus, it’s open to late-for-London hour of 11 p.m. on weekdays (midnight on Fridays and Saturdays).
“At BrewDog, we are on a mission to prove that alcohol-free does not equate to taste-free, so we have opened our first ever 100% alcohol free bar,” notes the bar’s website.

But on those taps: Nanny State, the UK’s most best-selling non-alcohol craft beer, along with like-minded, booze-free stouts, IPAs, ciders and even zero-proof spirits. The bar will also offer an all-you-can-drink special throughout January — and again, that’s on non-alcoholic beers.
