What’s the enduring appeal of all things “retro,” “vintage” and “antique”? Besides nostalgia?

We’d argue it’s apparent: aesthetics. Mid-century modern furniture persists to this day because when curated correctly, it looks just as current today as it did in your grand-dad’s sitting room. One vertical where vintage doesn’t always equal quality, though, is home audio. Sure, you can find a vintage piece that still sounds like a million bucks — but by and large, we’ve come along way.

Fortunately, someone out there wants you to have the best of both worlds.

The Wrensilva is a modish console made of North American Walnut that can handsomely serve up your favorite tunes in basically any format, digital or analogue. Vinyl, Sonos, mobile, auxiliary: whatever you’ve got will likely fly here. And below the deck, there’s plenty of built-in record storage that takes this work of art into high-design territory: the perfect juncture of form and function.

Is it a throwback or a throw-forward?

Don’t know, don’t care.
