Billed as “the world’s first solar-powered motorized hammock boat,” the MelloShip is a pontoon boat that can be equipped with an electric motor controlled via a waterproof remote.
The MelloShip can carry up to 500 pounds and has enough room to accommodate two hammocks as well as a removable floor that can pair with a pair of pop-up seats and add-ons like a cooler, table or sound system.
The 13-foot vessel’s low center of gravity makes it “practically unflippable,” and its frame breaks down into eight easy pieces that make it — along with the deflatable pontoons — easy to transport.
Available by June 2017, the MelloShip is currently funding on Kickstarter, and a $2,500 pledge will net you two hammocks, the pontoons and frame, two seats, some mounts and a couple other goodies.
