In an interview with CNN, Republican Senator Ted Cruz reaffirmed that it was not he who “liked” a pornographic video from his personal Twitter account late Monday night, but a staffer who “screwed up” — and Cruz isn’t going to throw the “fella” under the bus.

“It was a screw up,” Cruz said. “We’ve dealt with it internally…it was not me, and it’s not going to happen again.”

Cruz then addressed the “hypocrisy” that some in the media pointed out because he once backed a law that proposed banning the sale of sex toys.

“People ought to be able to do what they want,” Cruz told host Dana Bash. She goes on to ask: “I can’t believe I’m going to ask you this, but so you’re officially saying Ted Cruz is OK with people buying sex toys?

“I am saying that consenting adults should be able to do whatever they want in their bedrooms. And, you know, the media and the left seem obsessed with sex. Let people do what they want.”
