Swedish model Arvida Byström says she’s getting rape threats after participating in an Adidas sneaker campaign that featured her hairy legs, according to the BBC.

“My photo from the @adidasoriginals superstar campaign got a lot of nasty comments last week,” the 26-year-old Byström wrote in an Instagram post. “Literally I’ve been getting rape threats in my DM inbox.”

The model, chosen by Adidas for questioning “femininity and gender standards using so-called ‘girly’ aesthetics,” has frequently used non-traditional body hair as components of photos she poses for, as well as those that she takes; she’s nabbed a gallery space in London and photographed the likes of singer songwriter Zara Larsson.
