Surfing isn’t just about taking on monster waves: it’s also about living a unique lifestyle right on the ocean. The blog Indoek has masterfully documented the latter through their series Surf Shacks, dedicated to saluting surf domiciles around the globe.

Now they’ve put out a book through Gestalten: Surf Shacks: An Eclectic Compilation of Creative Surfers’ Homes from Coast to Coast and Overseas. Editor Matt Titone says it’s meant to “celebrate the stuff that goes on outside of the water,” which it accomplishes with photos of creative homes located in absurdly beautiful places.

Surf Shacks is now available for $60.
