Decades after Rumble in the Jungle, legendary pugilist George Foreman has set his sights on another marquee opponent: Steven Seagal.

It’s not exactly clear why — and frankly, it doesn’t really matter why — but apparently the two-time heavyweight world champ wants to get back in the ring for one last time. Preferably in Vegas. And preferably fighting Steven Seagal.

Observe the announcement in all of its glory on Twitter:

If you’re thinking “geriatric Mayweather vs. McGregor,” you wouldn’t be wrong. Foreman followed the open-call challenge by saying he’d slip on boxing gloves but Seagal was allowed to fight however he saw fit, as long as left the weapons at home. Then, he fielded questions.

Someone asked: “I’m hearing that George Foreman has challenged Steven Seagal to a fight in Vegas. Please confirm?.”

Another asked: “Why Steven Seagal?”

Twitter was seriously curious about Foreman’s choice of opponent: “Why have you chosen Steven Seagal of all people?”

And why he didn’t challenge, say, Jean Claude Van Damme: “Why just Steven Seagal? Why not Jean Claude Van Damme too? At the same time?”

People were also afraid of Seagal’s skills in the ring: “He knows karate. What if he spin kicked you in the head & it flew off, & a person in the crowd ran off with it? What then George?”

And if you thought it couldn’t get any better, ’90s heartthrob Freddie Prinze Jr. got involved: “Over a dozen old school martial artists challenged Segal repeatedly. He ducked them all. That’s his best technique. Hiding.”

Freddie: “You’ll smash him in less than 60 seconds, Champ. Only Ali and my dad can touch your granite chin!!!”

After all of that jawing, “Seagal” himself actually responded …

And George got excited …

… but he should’ve been looking for the blue check mark.

So what would happen if Foreman fought the Glimmer Man? Who knows. But we’d pay to see it.
