The Brits have a reputation for being snooty, and deservedly so: just take that hit PBS show Downton Abbey, which they spelled weirdly because they’re “proper” or “jerks”.

But now, they’re deigning to share some proper art: Introducing the across-the-pond-popular Frieze Art Fair, hitting America for the first time this weekend.

An immersive art-scape on Randall’s Island, Frieze is featuring 1,000 artists from 180 of the world’s preeminent galleries, plus interactive events, all inside a shimmering serpentine pavilion.

Highlights include:

Food/drink-wise, Frieze boasts several delectable options including an outdoor garden restaurant by Frankie’s Spuntino, and a deck overlooking the East River with a mobile pizza oven by Roberta’s.

Tickets must be bought in advance online. They start at $40 and include ferry transpo to Randall’s Island from 35th Street.

Should you be coming from the UES, just catch the “Downton 6.”
