Shyp. Doorman. It doesn’t get much easier.

Why We Quit Using the U.S. Postal Service

Holiday season cometh.

So too the dog-and-pony show of missed package slips and standing in line at the post office for DMV-lite durations.

And with this — the season of giving (and receiving) — allow us to introduce you to two new on-demand services that brings the full-service shipping center experience to your door.

For outgoing goods, you’ll wanna check out Shyp. It’s speedy and incredibly useful. New to Chicago, and just relaunched with live-tracking and a spiffy new feature called “address-free shipping,” which basically gives recipients the power to choose when and where they receive packages.

Dead simple to use, too. Fire up the app. Take a picture of what needs shipping. And … you’re done.

No boxes. No lines. Shyp couriers pick up in as little as 20 minutes, pack up your shippable and take them to their shipping facility.

But what about missed deliveries?

On the receiving end, there’s Doorman, a package delivery concierge.

How it works: You sign up and receive a unique shipping address. Then, you shop.

Doorman accepts your delivery at their outpost and then shoots you a text to let you know it’s in hand. You schedule a delivery time from 6 p.m. to midnight, seven days a week.

Simple as that.

Now, if shopping for all your loved ones was this easy.
