The designer of the latest supercar from Lamborghini found his inspiration for the car’s design in what can only be described as a stream of consciousness. According to Forbes, lead designer Mitja Bokert attached images of fighter jets, venomous snake, and spaceships to a “mood board” while he worked on the Aventador S, the luxury automaker’s latest supercar.

Focusing the design on aerodynamics, the Aventador S also comes packed with a power-punch of speed, sporting a V12 engine that outputs 740 hp and does 0-60 mph in 2.9 seconds. The car’s top speed is 217.5 mph.

“This is the next generation Aventador as well as the expression of new technological and performance milestones in super sports car development,” says Sefano Domenicali, chairman and CEO of Lamborghini. “The  Aventador S is visionary design, cutting-edge technology and driving dynamics in pure harmony, and elevates the  concept of super sports cars to a new level.”

According to the company, the Aventador S will retail for $421,350.
