What’s better than a custom Land Rover Defender pickup with six wheels and a 6.2-liter V8?

A custom Land Rover Defender pickup with six wheels and a 6.2-liter V8 … and a convertible soft-top roof.

Both of the models described above — the standard Flying Huntsman 110 6×6 Double Cab Pickup and the soft-top model — come to us courtesy of Kahn Design, the Britain-based design shop that’s dropped our jaws on numerous occasions in the past. Although Kahn has only revealed one image of the new convertible Flying Huntsman, we’re inclined to believe it has the same extra-long and extra-wide body as its predecessor as well as the same upgraded suspension, braking system and six-speed automatic transmission.

We’d also assume they’ll be adding the same high-end finishing touches (chrome headlamps, leather door panels with wool inserts and vented foot pedals) that the previous model received.

For though, all we really have to go on is an image and Kahn’s “statement of intent,” which reads thusly: “The dream of owning an uncompromisingly designed Flying Huntsman soft-top model, designed by the UK’s most avant-garde designer, is now a reality.”
