The Koenigsegg Regera shatters any preconceived notions of what a hybrid car should be like. Aiming to be a direct competitor with the Bugatti Chiron, the Regera is capable of putting out more than 1,500 horsepower and can go from 0-60 miles per hour in 2.8 seconds. Working in tandem with the automaker’s proprietary electric propulsion system—called the Koenigsegg Direct Drive Transmission (KDD)—the hypercar also runs on a twin turbo, DOHC, 5-liter V8 engine. On a full charge, the 620V battery pack can power the Regera for up to 30 miles. The vintage interior is married to a nine-inch entertainment panel, including Apple CarPlay and 3G/Wi-Fi connectivity. Take a visual tour of the car below.
