Pro Snowmobiler Dan Treadway Accomplishes 100-Foot Jump in the Wilds of Whistler

By Will Levith

You could say 40-year-old Ontario native Dan Treadway got an early start in the ways of the snowmobile. On his Oakley Sports page, it notes that instead of taking the bus to school, the pro used a snowmobile.

But despite his veteran skills on the machine, the 100-foot jump (see below) that he accomplished from the now-permanently-closed region of Whistler called “Don’t Miss,” got him the ski resort equivalent of detention: Treadway was banned from 1999-2000.

But that clearly hasn’t kept him from trying again. This time, sponsored by Oakley, he attempted the awe-inspiring feat once more—while the cameras rolled. Watch it all (literally) go down below.
