“Are those things street legal?”

That’s your date. And she’s not talking about what’s under your hood.

She’s talking about your cufflinks.

British metalsmiths TMB have created what has to go down as one of the most souped up accessories in menswear history: cufflinks fashioned from the front wheel of a Bugatti Veyron.

Yes, that Bugatti Veyron. The one that can go 0-60 in 2.5 seconds. The 268 MPH supercar known as the fastest, most powerful street-legal car in the world. Bugatti only made 450 of them, with plans to follow it up with a Chiron — the next fastest car in the world.

Excessive? Absolutely. And so are these cufflinks. But you gotta fasten those French cuffs somehow, right? Might as well go with the best.

Or, as a Bugatti enthusiast would say: might as well go Alsatian.
