Remember that scene in Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory where the kids head to the candy shop after school and collectively drop a hundred pounds on licorice in about four minutes?

It’s a rare shop for adults that’s capable of engendering such irresponsible excitement … but you’d probably want to start with Aston Martin’s new heritage showroom in London’s Mayfair district.

While classic cars are inherently timeless, they’re really having a moment right now. Not long after Jaguar Land Rover Classic announced its intended 75,000-square foot showroom in Atlanta, Aston Martin’s debuting this Central London storefront — a direct response to public support for the luxury automakers’ DB4 Continuation and Goldfinger DB5 cars.

Whether your car expertise and ownership is closer to Jay Leno or a Manhattanite, the showroom intends to educate visitors on how the brand restores its vehicles, and help you acquire a heritage model, if interested. And if you just want to dry off from the rain and stare at a bunch of beautiful waxed machines, that’s ok too.
