“I had been looking for a new subject to study and as a design and detail enthusiast, I thought watches would be an interesting world to explore,” she says.
You can see her work adorning the UK version of GQ, which notes each timepiece sketched by Kraulis takes up to 250 hours and 50 pencils to finish (also, fun fact: the artist herself doesn’t wear a watch).
Since you may never own Paul Newman’s actual Rolex Daytona, a 20”x30” print for $900 (about $17.8 million less than the real thing) might suffice — were it not sold out (sorry!).
That said, you can always commission your own piece.
