Stay in a Luxury Swedish Air Traffic Control Tower for a Night

(HomeAway/Joakim Johansson)

By Will Levith

Ever wonder what it looks like inside an air traffic control tower? Now, imagine sleeping inside of one for a night.

In fairness, though, this tricked-out penthouse apartment didn’t get on RealClearLife‘s radar because it was a typical air traffic control tower.

HomeAway’s U.K. branch has teamed up with Arlanda Airport in Stockholm, Sweden, to give adventurous types—i.e. you and up to three guests—a 24-hour stay in an air-traffic control tower overlooking the airport. It’s not any old industrial sweat-lodge, though; it’s been given a number of luxury design upgrades by Swedish designer Cilla Ramnek.

The room includes a pair of beds, lounge area, writing desk, and one of the most unique views out the front window: watching the planes taking off and landing at Arlanda Airport.

How will you get there? Of course, via your roundtrip airfare and additional three-stay night in a HomeAway accommodation in Stockholm, Copenhagen, Oslo, or Helsinki.

What’s the catch? You have to follow HomeAway U.K. on Instagram and fill out a brief signup form. And you have to have residency in the U.K., Germany, France, Spain, or the Netherlands to qualify. (Sorry, Americans.)

The contest is good through July 30.
