Private pool? Check.

Personal wine cellar? Double check.

Your own 15,000-square-foot island villa? Triple-check.

That’s what’s available in the most exclusive offering at the lagoon-side resort Soneva, opening in the Maldives this October. In addition to the lone island retreat, Soneva Jani will house 24 water villas that each feature a retractable roof for stargazing, a secluded pool for midnight dips and an overwater swing seat for, well, swinging.

In addition to amenities like outdoor showers, walk-in minibars and roof decks with uninterrupted 360° views of the Indian Ocean, five of the water villas will have water slides that plunge from the second floor straight into the Jani’s spacious and marine-life-filled lagoon.

The five-island resort also provides access to gorgeous beaches, organic gardens and tropical greenery, as well as a dive center, observatory and Bluetooth-connected silent cinema. Additionally, trips to cheese, chocolate, ice cream and charcuterie rooms are complimentary for all guests.

Only the most sustainable materials were used in the resort’s construction, and an onsite Waste-to-Wealth center will recycle all the resort’s water and sustain its vegetable garden.

“We live in an ever more crowded and developed world. Soneva Jani is one of the lowest density resorts in the world,” says Soneva founder Sonu Shivdasani. “When designing and building Soneva Jani, I was very mindful that when we open, the area should seem as natural and beautiful as the first day I laid eyes on it.”

Should you want to feast your peepers on Jani, the resort is taking bookings from October 1st onwards.

Don’t forget your snorkeling gear.
