Fans of CBS’ Big Bang Theory will soon have their universe expanded.

According to CNN, the creators of the ratings giant are actively developing a spinoff of the show, Young Sheldon, focusing on the early years of lead character Sheldon Cooper (played by Jim Parsons in the original series).

The 30-minute spinoff will begin airing this fall.

The show’s first episode is even getting some star power behind the camera: Jon Favreau, executive producer of the Iron Man franchise, will direct. Iain Armitage, who’s currently playing Shailene Woodley’s son on HBO’s Big Little Lies, will play the nine-year-old title character.
