Chore coats are supposed to be durable, long-lasting and keep you warm.

Doesn’t mean they can’t look damn nice, too.

Taylor Stitch just debuted its take on “hunting-inspired” chore coat. Called The Project Jacket, this layer is a blend of hemp, recycled polyester, organic cotton and a bit of spandex. That makes it all a bit softer, stretchier and lighter than your usual chore coat.

There’s also 6-oz. 100% organic cotton corduroy featured on the top of collar, inside cuffs and inside pocket flaps.

Speaking of flaps, there are plenty of pockets here (two top, two lower and side entry with hidden snaps).

This is one of Taylor Stitch’s “Workshop” releases, an in-house crowdfunding program that allows the SF-based brand to test out and sell limited-edition wares. These items usually arrive with a preorder discount, and the direct funding by consumers keeps manufacturing waste to a minimum.

While this is still in the Workshop phase, we’re pretty confident it’ll be great; we’ve always been big fans of Taylor Stitch’s other jackets (yours truly has been happily bundling up with the Ojai Jacket for a few weeks now)

The Project Jacket is available for pre-order now at $148 (or just under 30% off), with delivery around mid-May.
