When we last checked in on StockX, the upstart company was making its name as a collectible sneakers marketplace that operated much like the stock market, with prices fluctuating higher and lower based on bids and asks. And all built around a model of authenticity and transparency.
Since then, they’ve added a few new categories and features, including:
- Watches. If you’re looking for, say, a vintage Rolex Submariner or Omega Seamaster, this is another great option for buyers and sellers. Plus, they have a weekly watch blog (“The Cultivated Wrist”) that offers curated lists of sport, dress and historical timepieces available for purchase. New sign-ups get $100 off their first purchase.
- Handbags. Admittedly not our scene, but here’s someone’s chance to pick up some hard-to-find Louis Vuitton, Hermes, Chanel and Gucci bags.
- Just this month, they launched the StockX Sneaker Scoreboard, a Top 10 “snapshot” of the sneaker market, ranked in order of overall trade volume.
