What’s a clothing line without clothing?
Just a bunch of naked models, apparently.
That’s the gist of Saint Laurent’s Fall 2016 collection — as seen in an Instagram preview from the famed French fashion house. It’s the debut offering from new creative director Anthony Vaccarello, who clearly intends to trade on a different sort of attitude than his predecessor, the widely imitated Hedi Slimane, whose own ads evinced a love of slim silhouettes (for men and women alike), rock stars and artful layering.
Presumably, Vaccarello’s full creative offering will at some point incorporate fabric — but if you’ve ever wondered whether fashion lines are in the business of selling schmattes or attitude, you’ve got your 2016 answer.
