If only Jimi Hendrix had been around to test out a pair. Converse has unveiled its new “Chuck Taylor All Wah” sneaker, which effectively stands in for the guitar wah effect pedal (see: Dunlop’s Crybaby Wah Pedal). Axemen simply have to connect their cable inputs into the shoe itself, then go through the motions of “stepping” on the pedal for it produce the desired sound. Made in concert with CuteCircuit, a wearable tech company, the All Wah has yet to hit the open market. Watch Dinosaur Jr.‘s J. Mascis take a pair for a spin below. At the bottom, watch a step-by-step demo of the All Wah sneakers.
