How to Guarantee Yourself a Super Bowl Ticket … Assuming Your Team Makes It

We know you’ve got your playoff beard, your special spot on the couch and your lucky pair of drawers.

But over here in Reality Land, you have no control over whether your team makes it to Super Bowl LI or not.

That said, there is a way to guarantee you’ll be in Houston to see them play on February 5th if they survive the grueling NFL playoffs. The kicker? As part of a new offer, if your squad loses before Houston, you’re off the hook.

It’s called On Location Experiences, and they just started selling (as far as we know) the first contingent Super Bowl ticket packages.

Fans of the Cowboys, Packers, Falcons, Seahawks, Patriots, Texans, Steelers and Chiefs can reserve a seat-and-tailgate combo for the big game by putting down a deposit of $1,000. That deposit will be refunded if things don’t work out, but fans of the two remaining teams will be automatically billed (packages range from $5,949 to $12,749) after their squad advances.

“We have these fans now who might be buying tickets just in case their team wins, and if not, they have to start to think about selling it,” On Location Experiences CEO John Collins said, according to ESPN. “We’ve created a no-risk situation.”

There is a risk you drop $6k on a ticket and your team gets shellacked (looking at you, 2014 Broncos), but hey, that’s football.
