After Tiger Woods’ father died in 2006, the world watched as the greatest modern golfer lost his way both on and off the course. How did everything go wrong so suddenly? According to ESPN’s Wright Thompson, “The answer is complicated and layered. He fell victim to many things, some well-known and others deeply private: grief, loneliness, desire, freedom and his fixation with his father’s profession, the military.”
