The responsible adults in the room? They’re in porn.

Pornhub, one of the top 100 websites in the world that we have never ever looked at, just launched a sexual information project dubbed the Sexual Wellness Center. The new microsite offers advice on everything from basic sexual anatomy to STDs to tips to maintaining a healthy relationship.

It’s useful, mostly tasteful and rather forward-thinking.

Which is all well and good, but … Pornhub? How can the world’s largest peddler of adult entertainment also be a source of genuine sex education? “We understand the importance of educating the general public on a wide range of topics pertaining to sexual health and awareness, and saw an opportunity to deliver knowledge and understanding through renowned doctors and experts,” said Pornhub VP Corey Price in a press release.

To that end, the site is headed up by Dr. Laurie Betito, a clinical psychologist, broadcaster, TEDx Talks vet and author of The Sex Bible for People Over 50. And the articles here —“Happiness of Pleasure: Antidepressants and Sexual Dysfunction,” “You Now Have Fewer Reasons to Avoid Period Sex”—will certainly help you learn a thing or two.

That said, the Pornhub, uh, “voice” occasionally comes through.

Between features like “Trans 101” or a discussion on consent, you’ll find an article that begins “Have you ever felt like you really wanted to bang … ?”

Don’t ask us how we know.
