Tomorrow, we will party. We will parade. We will wave flags and proclaim America the greatest constitutional republic in the history of God’s greenhouse-gassed Earth.

And on Coney Island, one man will celebrate by eating a truckload of hot dogs at the Nathan’s Famous Hot Dog Eating Contest.

Which got your correspondent thinking: exactly how much food is that many hot dogs? Well, we figured it out. In this handy infographic guide: Joey Chestnut, Hot Dog Champ.

For the uninitiated, Joseph Christian “Jaws” Chestnut is the current undisputed heavyweight champion of Nathan’s annual frankfurter scarfing showdown, held every July 4th.

Chestnut exploded onto the scene in 2007, when he unseated legendary dog gobbler Takeru Kobayashi.

He has not lost since.

Last year, Chestnut took home the “Mustard Belt” with a world record 69 dogs. This year, he could very well break 70.

So step right up, folks. Step right up. See the gastro-intestinal wonder devour the equivalent of 596 Oreos in under twelve minutes.

God bless America.
