And we’ve got a guy for that, right here in LA: Cameron Weiss, owner and operator of Weiss Watch Company, now hucking limited runs of Swiss-made but locally assembled – not to mention devastatingly stylish – wristwear.
A former student of horological titans Audemars Piguet and Vacheron Constantin, Cameron now cranks out 500-piece runs of his own designs.
First up: the Field Watch, an understated, manual-wind beauty built from a 60-piece Swiss movement.
The watch can run for almost 50 hours per wind, boasts water-resistance to 100 ft., and with regular maintenance – about one checkup every eight years – you can expect it to someday adorn your great-grandson’s wrist.
It comes with a canvas band, but we recommend doubling down with the distressed leather alternate for versatility. And our favorite feature: an open-back, sapphire crystal case that lets you admire the watch’s dazzling, hand-assembled mechanics.
Supplies are limited, but as soon as the Field Watch sells out, Weiss will unveil a new design.
