It’s a general rule: if you’re looking for trouble, you head to the desert.

It’s where Bugsy Siegel started Vegas.

Where Jim Morrison saw Yahweh.

And where you can find transcendance of the MPH variety, too — specifically, at Spring Mountain Motor Resort & Country Club, a stately country club with supercar racing and a firing range, taking reservations now.

Manned by John Morris, a SoCal entrepreneur and avid Radical Racer, and run, in part, by Corvette Champ, Ron Fellows, Spring Mountain is where you go when you’re serious about your speed.

To wit: you can corner the latest Cadillac V-Series. But if a V-8 is too slow, Radical’s Le Mans cars go 0-60 in three seconds.

Each racing experience comes with a pit crew to keep your wheels in check. And after you blaze the pavement you can fire off pistols at targets 20 yards away.

Then relax in a pool, get a massage or kick it in a Southwestern-style clubhouse full of desert light and plush leather couches, where you can play cards and watch games.

Then retire to a luxurious condo and do it all again the next day.

After that, you’ll be no trouble at all.
