From the driving, to the parking, to the not knowing where to drive or park, dinner in LA is harder than it should be. That’s why we created Dinner Plan — your three-step itinerary to a damn good time.

This week: a lip-smacking rib festival and craft beers come to Chinatown. Here’s your plan.

Kelly Cole

With all the sauce you’ll be putting down (talking ribs and cocktails), you’d be wise to wear dark colors. Grab one of Kelly Cole’s signature crew-neck t-shirts, seen above in washed black and charcoal. They’re freshly woven but sport a vintage look and feel.

Food GPS Rib Festival

Twelve different takes on ribs from twelve of L.A.’s best chefs. That’s what’s on tap at Food GPS’s First Annual Rib Fest, set in Chinatown’s neon-lit Central Plaza. From the dry-aging master at chi SPACCA to curing king Chris Oh, this event will be a finger-licking frenzy. Added bonus: The Warwick guys are mixing the drinks. Grab a ticket now because this event will sell out.

Here’s your plan.

Melody Lounge

Get a post-prandial libation at the recently spiffed-up Melody Lounge. It’s still pretty divey, with dangling lanterns set to very dim. But now they’re serving choice craft brews like Angel City and Hangar 24. Bottoms up.

Here’s your plan.
