From the driving, to the parking, to the not knowing where to drive or park, dinner in L.A. is harder than it should be. That’s why we created Dinner Plan — your three-step itinerary to a damn good time.

This week: The Echoplex crew just opened a new theater with a pizzeria and a cocktail bar. It’s great. And dinner-and-a-show never gets old. Here’s your plan.

Kicks

You’ll be standing a lot tonight, so rock a pair of Davis boots from Long Beach-based Broken Homme (seen here in oxblood). These badboys can log a ton of miles thanks to superior stitching and construction, and leather only gets better with age.

Here’s your plan.

Pre-Show

The Regent has three sections. On either side of the theater are the Love Song Bar and Prufrock’s Pizza. The pro move is to order a wood-burned Neapolitan pizza — our money’s on the Frisee with a poached egg and the three-cheese Bianca — then head over to the bar and grab a Mezcal Old Fashioned. A runner from Prufrocks will bring the pizza over once it’s ready.

Here’s your plan.

Show

The Echoplex/Spaceland crew revamped this 1914 theater, now dubbed The Regent, so that it maxes out at around 1,000 heads, the perfect size for a mid-level act like Museum of Love (12/12) or the Budos Band (1/16). The little balcony is a good perch. And yes, you can grab those Old Fashioneds there, too.

Here’s your plan.
