Face time.

Whether you get it during a power lunch or in the mirror, this town’s built on it.

And nothing frames a man’s face like a cool pair of sunnies.

For your next pair, we suggest you direct your gaze to City of Eyes, now open in the heart of Larchmont.

Owned by Alexander Daas – who’s been handling eyewear for SF Optics since childhood – City of Eyes is a new LA showroom hucking slim opticals and svelte sunglasses.

Telling you straight: these are pricy specs. But you get what you pay for, as in equal parts chic Cali style and sporty, teched-out function.

All frames are made with Japanese acetate and Italian glass, and with a nod to class, the label is discreetly printed on the inside of the temples.

They’re also functional. Each pair comes affixed to a silver lanyard – no more stretching your collar or scuffing your specs when you lean over.

The chain’s lobster-claw hooks connect to sly holes in the temple for use as retainers.

Daas also carries six independent designers: Salt, Matsuda, Bevel, MYKITA, KBL and Barton Perreira.

Our money’s on these Matsudas, a vintage Japanese design with intricate metalwork embellished on burnished titanium.

Robert Downey Jr. wore them in Iron Man.

That’s how he stayed in the picture.
