The Beverly Wilshire Just Put a Campsite on the Roof

The most opulent tent you’ve ever seen can’t be found at a campsite.

Hell, it’s not even in nature.

It’s on the rooftop of the Beverly Wilshire.

That’s right: the hotel that played backdrop to Pretty Woman now has a 16-foot yurt with a queen bed, gas firepit and s’mores with gold in them. Many stars have hung their hats in the Veranda over the years, including Warren Beatty, who lived there for 10 years.

The experience costs $3,500/night price tag, and you can add on a wine paired meal for $185 extra. It’s about as woodsy as haute cuisine can get, with 24k-gold-dusted s’mores, stone-charred Wagyu and sheep cheese ravioli misted with cedar essence. Essence.

And while the light pollution may inhibit your stargazing, there’s plenty of twinkling coming from the views of the Hills and the surrounding skyline.

The tent is pitched through December. To make a reservation call: (310) 275-5200.
