The good thing about a sales price — once it reaches that number, it’s likely to happen again. Like, right now.
So we welcome the return of the $199 HomePod, an excellent smart speaker if you’re smitten with the Apple eco-system. Available in white or space grey, the HomePod is a squat little wonder; it’ll adjust sound based off its location in the room, and it works with Siri to be your voice assistant and smart home controller.
The ‘Pod gets praised for its sound but rightly chastised for its strict adherence to Apple’s gear (it’s not Android friendly, for instance, and it’s gonna work a lot better with Apple Music than other streaming services). So be warned, but if you’re a fanboy, this is the best price you’re gonna find. Again.
