If you’re gonna schedule your lights, do it now: Woot is currently offering the Amazon Smart Plug for just $13, it’s lowest price ever and a savings of nearly 50%.

Why a smart plug? You can use it schedule lights, but also fans, appliances or anything else you want on a schedule (you can even build in multi-faceted “routines”). And you can do it all by voice control, after a super-quick setup on your Alexa app (note: you will need a separate Alexa device of some sort, like an Echo Dot).

Amazon’s as good as any, and given the cheap price and solid design — it’s small enough to keep your other outlets unblocked — this might be the cheapest way to get smart devices into your home.

And now the caveats: The sale is one day only and the devices are “used,” though they’re verified by Amazon to work just fine and arrive with a 90-day warranty. (Want a new one for a lot more? Go here).

The plugs might have mild cosmetic blemishes, but hey, you’ll ideally never have to look at these again once they’re installed.
