Board and Savior

A culinary truism of our times: if a man’s gonna entertain, a man can’t be serving up eats on a white plastic cutting board.

Ergo, you want the handsome, rugged cutting and serving boards from craftsman Sean Woolsey, taking orders now.

About Sean: a SoCal-based craftsman and son of an artist, Woolsey specializes in “old-fashioned” handmade wood furniture, art and photography, often combining his mediums.

For Woolsey, it’s about imperfection. Or, more accurately, the imprint of time on objects.

Like the wood on his hand-shaped cutting boards, each individually crafted for the kitchen trifecta: cutting, chopping and serving.

Our favorites:

And just now available: A Record of Time, Woolsey’s photo travelogue documenting his trip across America in a 1987 VW Westfalia.

Another imperfect (yet fantastically crafted) mission.
