Your next wine stop won’t be Napa or Italy.

You’ll want to head deep into … Croatia. And by deep, think underwater.

The Edivo Vina winery offers vino drinkers a chance to dive to underwater cellars located in a sunken boats around the peninsula of Pelješac.

The wine they’ll discover there was aged three months and then stored in clay jugs underwater for an additional year or two. The jug, called an “amphorae,” supposedly gives the wine a specific pinewood aroma but doesn’t affect the color or quality.

The Edivo founders say that the seawaters provide an ideal cool temperature and silence, which somehow improves the wine’s quality.

Don’t think about trying the trip below solo: The jugs are locked in cages to prevent theft.
