Three friends will perform their heroic act once again, but this time it’ll be on screen.

Clint Eastwood has cast the real-life heroes that inspired his next movie The 15:17 to Paris, according to Variety. The film revolves around the thwarted terror attack on a Paris-bound train in August of 2015.

Military veterans Alek Skarlatos, and Spencer Stone, and their friend Anthony Sadler, will play themselves in the cinematic adaptation of the book they wrote about their heroic ordeal. Eastwood had reportedly decided on actors for the three roles before switching to the unconventional casting choice at the last minute.

The 15:17 to Paris will explore the three men’s friendship, beginning in their childhood, and continue to the moment they took down the terrorist. Sadler, Skarlatos, and Stone will have decent-sized roles in the film but they won’t be “full-on leads,” Variety reports.

It will be Eastwood’s third consecutive film depicting real-life heroes, following Sully and American Sniper, both of which had successful runs at the box office. The actor-turned-director also considered retelling the story of Jessica Buchanan, a humanitarian aid worker kidnapped in Somalia and later rescued by Navy Seals.
