Christian Bale was nearly unrecognizable at the Toronto International Film Festival earlier this week. The actor has been packing on the pounds for his upcoming role as Dick Cheney, in a biopic about the former Vice President, writes Town & Country

How is he gaining the weight? He told reporters that he’s been eating “lot of pies.”

The Hollywood Reporter recently reported that Sam Rockwell has been cast as George W. Bush in the film. He joins Bale, Steve Carell (who will play Donald Rusmfeld), and Amy Adams (Lynne Cheney).

Production is set to begin this month, according to Town & Country. The film tells the story of how Cheney became one of the most powerful U.S. vice presidents to ever hold office after avoiding military service in the Vietnam War and rising to CEO of Halliburton.
