Can your flashlight fry eggs? Didn’t think so.

Outside the U.S., flashlights are often known as torches, despite their lack of actual fire power.

While we feel that naming practice is a bit misleading, we don’t take issue with it in the case of the FlashTorch Mini, largely because the 2,300-lumen number actually has real-deal torching skills in spades.

Created by a Hong Kong-based firm called Wicked Lasers, the $200 FlashTorch Mini can start a fire, fry an egg as well as handle regular flashlight duties for up to 1,000 hours.

Billed as “the world’s smallest burning flashlight,” the Mini is made of military-grade aluminum, can be used as a floodlight or searchlight and its battery can be recharged without removal.

If you buy a Mini  — which’ll come with a year warranty — do familiarize yourself with its proper use and safety before busting it out.
