A priceless experience of owning a private tropical island costs at least $6.5 million.

Surrounded by blue lagoons and boasting year-round warm breezes, Motu Tiano in French Polynesia is a two-acre private island that’s being auctioned off next month.

Motu Tiano is sheltered by Raiatea, the second largest of the Society Islands, but isolated enough to afford privacy.

“My wife and I have travelled widely but nowhere else in the world offers the natural beauty and tranquillity of Motu Tiano,” Jim Simpson, vendor of the property, told Cater News.

“The local people are so welcoming and helpful, and the French Polynesian culture still includes a number of ancient traditions, which have been passed down from generation to generation.

“Life on Motu Tiano is peaceful and relaxing, and we will very much miss our home here, but as we approach retirement, we have decided it is time to pass on this beautiful home to another owner.”
