There are certain areas we’ve been told size doesn’t matter, but tiny houses isn’t one of ‘em.
That’s why we take umbrage that Alabama-based Timbercraft Tiny Homes has chosen to characterize its latest build, the 37-foot-long Denali, as a tiny home. Because anyone with a set of eyes, measuring tape or vague understanding of English should be able to tell: tiny it ain’t.
Which isn’t to say that the 13.5-foot-tall towable home isn’t an impressive build (it is), but let’s just call it what it is, a home with a 352-square-foot floor plan that just happens to be on wheels.
Built on a triple-axle trailer with standard features like three-inch foam insulation, high quality double-pane windows and a full bathroom and kitchen, the Denali can be customized with add-ons like solar panels, a washer/dryer unit and double storage/sleeping lofts with stairs.
All in, it’s a beautiful home and one we’d be glad to own. Just please. Don’t call it tiny.
